About the event
In this first session, we will be looking at addressing the existential fear of death. Facing the idea of our own mortality is a daunting task. The notion that we are finite beings can be a terrifying thought to consider for most people. It is, however, a vital challenge that we must all grapple with to live meaningful and free lives. In this training we will learn how to help guide our clients through the journey of understanding and embracing their own mortality. The sway that fear of death may have over clients is often hidden or masked by other concerns so we will be looking at how to assess and identify when this fear may be impacting our clients. We will also learn how to ethically address these fears in a way that can be understood and incorporated with your current modality of therapy.
