Garrett Gilmore, LPC

I hold a bachelor's degree from the University of Central Missouri and a master's degree in counseling from Southern Nazarene University. I work with a wide range of individuals — from teenagers to older adults — and my areas of focus include anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, psychosis, and substance use. I also support clients navigating life transitions such as divorce, career changes, grief, and shifts in peer or romantic relationships, as well as those working through challenges with self-esteem, eating disorders, stress, and sports performance.

I have a particular passion for working with first responders, who face unique and often unspoken pressures, and I welcome conversations around spirituality and faith as part of your whole-person well-being.

I believe that no two people are the same, and I bring that belief into every session. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach, I draw from a variety of evidence-based modalities and tailor my work to what fits you best. My toolkit includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy, the Gottman Method, and Person-Centered Therapy, among others.

My goal is to offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space where we can honestly explore life's challenges together. I want to meet you exactly where you are, help you build resilience, and develop the insight and skills to navigate whatever you're facing — at a pace that feels right for you.
