About the event
Debbie has spent her career working specifically in suicide prevention, supporting individuals with suicidal thoughts and behaviors and training clinicians across crisis and therapeutic settings. As the former Director and lead trainer for Australia’s Lifeline, she was responsible for preparing hundreds of mental health professionals to assess risk, respond to crisis calls, and intervene effectively in moments of acute vulnerability.
This training is designed for clinicians who want to move beyond checkbox assessments and liability-driven conversations. Debbie will share a practical, clinically grounded framework for identifying suicide risk, asking direct and meaningful questions, and responding in ways that are both evidence-based and relationally sound. Attendees can expect real clinical examples, applied guidance, and insight shaped by decades of specialized work in suicide prevention.
